David Post, Chairman of Care for Cops, brings over 50 years of security and management consulting experience and more than 40 years as a sworn deputy sheriff and reserve commander in Georgia.

In 1999, members of the Metro Atlanta Crime Commission launched Care for Cops to support families of officers killed in the line of duty, beginning with a motorcycle charity ride.

The annual ride, escorted by local law enforcement, grew into a community event with prizes, food, music, and fundraising activities. Since 2000, Care for Cops has expanded to include rides, golf tournaments, and 5Ks, providing financial support to families of fallen heroes.
